So… I had this idea to start filming… with no money…. I have the right crew.. the best in fact.. I have a great cast…. the most talented.. I have amazing music…. inspiring.. and I have the support of my family, my friends and my lady, Sarah…. I can do this.
And I have…. Friday 20th of May saw myself, Bear (Neill Phillips but we’ll call him Bear) and Deab Rees (The Reverend Bryant of SL19) all on location in Dean’s front garden with an amazing looking American van.. A-Team but in tan!!!!
Bear and I got to setting up lights after a hearty meal at the Little Chef (Ps:.. sat down at 20:20.. dinner on table at 20:40… we were told “we shut at 9″….. we had heart burn)
So… on full stomachs, we got to setting the scene for several scenes on Episode one of Safelight 19 (SL19)… as soon as the sun dropped.. we were on.
Well.. Dean Rees pulled out the performances of a pro taking direction and a vision on board and bringing the Rev to life. The mood was amazing, the delivery and tone was superb and the lighting and framing of Bear was a pleasure to watch….. I got goosebumps.
We went to town on this…. went all out on these first scenes of SL19 and boy oh boy… what a start.
Still have a lot of work to do but I am oping it will all pay off in July forma VERY special event.
